Transitioning from a successful career in photography to becoming a web developer, I bring a unique perspective to web development that combines creativity and technical skill.
Over the years, I have honed my skills as a professional photographer, capturing moments that tell a story. Taking a weekend hobby, I turned it into a full time business, focusing on Real Estate & Sports Photography. As I got older, it was not as easy for me to hustle around, and decided to fall back on my love for computer technology. My passion has now evolved into a love for web development, where I can create interactive experiences that tell stories on the web.
My transition into web development was driven by my desire to merge creativity with technology. I have always been driven by technology. Growing up, I was lucky to see technology grow right in front of me, through the 1980s and 1990s, where it took a long leap in advancements. Over the years, I self taught myself some basics, and created websites for several people, using sites as Squarespace and Godaddy, and by diving deeper into the programs to manually change the styling to get the final look I needed. I have immersed myself in learning full-stack development, completing Rutgers Full-Stack Web Development & Coding class, focusing on creating user-friendly, responsive websites and applications. With a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PWAs, React, and Node.js, I strive to build web applications that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
My background in photography gives me a unique eye for visual design, which I apply to web design to create visually appealing websites. I have used most photo editing tools and programs in order to excel in my photo business.
Now in web development, my love is to create websites that are user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing. I enjoy creating sites that draw people in. My strengths are front end development, and debugging. I enjoy taking someones ideas, and make them come to life. Some of my skills include: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB), Mongoose, React.js, Node.js, Express.js, Bootstrap, and JQuery. While I do have backend experience, my strengths and passion is front-end and user experience.
